During Green Rio 2024, Cladtek will present initiatives focused on decarbonisation, waste reduction, and industrial symbiosis. These efforts directly support Santa Cruz’s development as a hub for sustainable industry.

Leadership Driving Sustainability Transformation

Cladtek’s involvement in Cladtek sustainability Green Rio is led by Melissa Rocco, HSE Manager and Coordinator of the Industrial Symbiosis Committee. She leads initiatives in decarbonisation and carbon capture.

As a result, Cladtek actively contributes to sustainability dialogue at both local and global levels. In particular, these efforts align with G20 values, including economic stability, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.

Consequently, Brazil continues to attract international attention for initiatives such as the Santa Cruz Industrial Symbiosis and the Pista Project in Rocinha.

What’s New at Green Rio 2024

Green Rio 2024 features the Casa G20 Symbiosis Project Ceremony, highlighting alignment with global sustainability priorities. In addition, expert panels and discussions position Brazil as a reference point for circular economy practices.

Through these sessions, Green Rio provides a global platform to amplify sustainable urban and industrial development.

Key Highlights at Green Rio 2024

From 28 October to 2 November, Cladtek will participate in a series of events and discussions:

• 29 October – Presentation on Cladtek’s waste-reducing solutions in the Santa Cruz industrial district

• 30 October – Participation in the Casa G20 ceremony and the Pista Project in Rocinha, reinforcing sustainable urban development

• 31 October – Attendance at Green Rio’s opening, featuring OECD, FIRJAN, and international leaders discussing circular economy and industrial symbiosis

• 1 November – Tiago Kaspary, Group Director of RD&I, New Technologies & Technical Sales, joins the Energy Roundtable on climate solutions

• 2 November – Community engagement activities with Tia Sônia Community School, supporting education and sustainable development
